Is Sergio an idiot? Or just a brat?

Sergio Garcia created a minor stir Saturday at Doral when he missed a putt, pulled his ball out of the cup, then spit into the hole, naturally, caught live by NBC. He was pretty unapologetic about it.

No big deal, or an act totally out of place in golf?

 

Roberto Alomar is outraged.

 

Oh, he's a brat. He does even look you directly in the eye while talking to you like Tiger. Mmmm ... Tiger.

 

What? Another pampered, spoiled-brat pro athlete? I don't believe it.

 

Wow, an athlete showing emotion. No different than when a starting pitcher is yanked and takes it out on the Gatorade cooler.

 

There's a reason why Sergio and Monty are the two winningest golfers never to win a major.

 

It's more likely different reasons. Sergio Garcia is 27. Phil Mickelson heard all about not winning his first major all the way until he was 34. If Garcia doesn't win a major for six more years, he'll still be ahead of Mickelson in that department.

 

Yeah, there is a difference. Does a guy take it out on the gatorade cooler by spitting on the valve? Although they ddin't know it, guys had to reach in that cup to take their golf balls out. A couple of them didn't appreciate Sergio slobber in the cut when they found out later.

 

Usually guys get splashed by the flying Gatorade.

Something tells me those pussy golfers will get over it. Birds probably poop into that cup all the time.

 

Sergio is just frustrated. Hell I've done a lot worse out on the golf course. Totally overblown.

 

Sergio is both (an idiot and brat), but more of a brat. At least he won't storm off the course like Tiger does when self-destructing on the course. Mickelson would chuckle and then if he fucks up again, he's a deer in headlights, clueless on why he make a boneheaded move.
