Is Sally Jenkins trying to get kicked out of China?

I like Sally Jenkins alot and she appears to see her role in the Washington Post's Olympic coverage as looking at all the political happenings and ramifications at the games. She's doing a terrific job of it.

Will the Chinese government leave her alone?

Really? When did that ever happen?

Hell, China blocked firejoemorgan.com. Is anyone really shocked that China is censoring the press, athletes, etc.? How the hell did they get these Games anyway? Oh, right, the Olympics are apolitical ...

Good for her. I hope we see more coverage about the political situation there.

Way to stir the pot as a columnist. If she is right, and the Chinese try to silence her, it will draw more attention to the issue. If not, she can continue to produce provocative pieces like this. Either way, her readers are well served.

Good column by Jenkins, as usual. I read the first page of comments, though, and had to stop. The Washington Post has its share of dumbass readers, too. Not surprising, maybe, but depressing.

That's an excellent point, Mediator. Hopefully other journalists over there will realize this when they're deciding whether they want to write/broadcast something about a political issue.

I'd love to know how she snuck a flamethrower into the country.
