In Robbins's defense, he is not alone here. The New Yorker recently had a pretty lengthy analysis in his 9/11 anniversary issue the thesis of which was largely that W. misfired in his reaction to 9/11, as far as his message to the public. It was an opportunity to marshal typically apathetic Americans together to make some needed changes, and he instead urged status quo. The "shopping" sneer is just shorthand for that misfire.

If you don't think Springsteen has a grasp of the issues to make a political statement, I bet you haven't heard him make a political statement.

And if this stuff is all so super complex, why do some many folks support term limits?

So John Q. Public can rise up and scratch his head for a few years over all this confusing stuff?

The vast majority of actors don't make squat or went through years of not making much money and scraping to get by.

I bet they have as much grasp of things as a plumber.

Moore lives in a mansion on a lake in northern Michigan and has a film festival in Traverse City. But he doesn't do a whole lot for Flint.

Sure that all felt very familiar to Randy, given his many decades in the "conflict as entertainment" business, which is all politics is now. Really, what's the fucking difference between a John Boehner and a Roseanne Barr at this point? Both have their talkingh points and soundbytes they love to get on TV to entertain their fanbases.

While beheading bankers might merit some discussion I'd just like to see one arrested first.

We could put some beheadings of bankers on PPV, and put all of the proceeds towards paying off the national debt.

    Two problems solved!

Roseanne was good at first when she called for the beheadings of bankers but then she didn't go far enough.

Hank Williams Jr. appeared on "Fox and Friends" this morning to talk politics via satellite hookup. He got right into it, telling the hosts that he didn't like any of the candidates in the GOP primary for President, and that John Boehner's golf game with Barack Obama was a major mistake.

"That would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu. Not hardly. In the shape this country is in?

When Brian Kilmeade said that he didn't understand the analogy, Williams was non-plussed. "I'm glad you don't brother, because a lot of people do. They're the enemy... Obama! And Biden! Are you kidding? The Three Stooges."

Craig Ferguson earned U.S. citizenship before the last presidential election and was genuinely absorbed in the campaigns leading up to his first time voting as an American.
He said: Study the issues, see how they affect you. Study the candidates and make an informed decision on who to vote for. Don't vote for somebody just because some dumbass celebrity told you to.
