He can still be a passable starting quarterback for most NFL teams.

He will NEVER again be what he was in 2012. Not even close. And that's a shame.

A starting quarterback in the NFL should understand drops and progressions.

It's quicker and easier than writing his name. Headline writers are no doubt in favor of it.

The younger Jim Mora jumps to mind. It makes me wonder if Jay Gruden is trying to get canned.

RG3 has gone from national darling to coach killer in three seasons.

It sounds like time for a Cutler for RG3 trade. :D

In the other games RG3 has started this year, it was turnovers and taking bad sacks that did the Redskins in.

The Tampa game was a huge difference from his normal mediocrity.

If either Shanahan gets interviews for HC openings, it could be in part because teams are realizing that maybe Shanahan wasn't the problem in DC.

I think Gruden gets fired and RG3 gets to handpick his replacement and how could that possibly go wrong? :D

    from the article:
“At this point in the game, our coaching staff came up with the conclusion, now we will run simple, Day-One offense,” Cooley said. “This is all we can do. We have eliminated the game plan. We’ve [gone] back to Day One of training camp install.”

Also from the article re Tampa game:
    Griffin’s throwing motion

“He’s short-arming the ball,” Cooley said. “He has bad technique, he’s not setting his feet right….He has the yips. He does have the yips, where the ball’s just not coming out of your hand right, so now you’ve aborted all technique, because you don’t have a feel for the ball coming out of your hand, and you’re getting this shot-put throw action. You’re aiming. He has the yips. He does. He just does.”

The week before in Minnesota, he short armed the ball on the game ending, 4th down throw. RG has TERRIBLE mechanics. That's bad for an NFL qb.

I don't think for a second the problem is Gruden.

What makes you think that? Is the Redskins offense more complicated than most? If he's repeatedly making basic mistakes, what difference does the team make?
