Is Pat Burrell a Hall of Famer?

Seriously, you are making fun of the other Hall of Fame threads here, right?

I always thought Burrell was just too patient, maybe too afraid to swing at a bad pitch. Jeff King disease.

He's never even been an all-star has he?

He's the 2000 version of Candy Maldonado, he's not even Jack Clark.

Enough contact to have .281 and .282 full seasons. Let's not paint him as Dave Kingman.

(No, he's not close to being a HofFer.)

I was always kinda partial to Jeff Burroughs and "Pitch at Risk to" Richie Zisk

If Pat hit 200 home runs this season, he would still be eight shy of 500.

And I count him as 21st among active right handed hitters and 48th overall.

When you've said Rob Deer, you've said it all.

Unless somebody's nuts enough to give Mark Reynolds a few more seasons as a regular.

Nothing strikes out like a Deer. Nothing.

He's not close to being a HOFer. Moises Alou maybe, but not Burrell

I'd be pissed if Alou gets in.

    Or perhaps he would.

Jeromy Burnitz is crying because he was not the subject of this thread.
