Is Pat Burrell a Hall of Famer?

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Evil Bastard (aka Chris_L), Jan 30, 2012.

  1. I know he is retiring but did you know he has the 11th-highest career OPS among active right-handed hitters?

He's to batters what Roy Oswalt is to pitchers.

Hall of Fame tail-chaser, so yes.

I would love to see the 10 HOFers ahead of him on that list.

    Yes. Fourth ballot, though.

Any chance he is not considered due to PED's?

  6. Chinese Viagra?

With a .442 career average at UMiami, he'd probably be a good candidate for a college baseball hall of fame.

Hey, the man had crazy raw skills. He was every bit a professional athlete. He just was always missing something that kept him from being consistent.

I jumped off the Burrell belongs in the HOF wagon two years ago.

    That would be contact.

  10. I'm not saying he is and I'm not saying he isn't.

I don't want to take a stand here - I just want to pose the question.

Hypothetically, if he has four more 30-HR seasons and wins two MVP awards, he might.

He nailed Heather Mitts, so he gets my vote.
