    From 2002-07, Kurt Warner sucked.
Could not even start in the NFL.
    3 good years, 6 bad/horrible years, 2 good years = shit sandwich.
    Not Hall of Fame.

From 1999-2010, Brett Favre sucked in the playoffs. 4-7. Three humiliating home losses.

Favre is a surefire Hall of Famer, right?

Lots of HOF quarterbacks have laid stinkers in the playoffs. Warner has, for the most part, been one of the greatest QBs when the stakes are highest. By 2003, he was seen as washed up and he OVERCAME that.

In 2004, Warner was not a HOF quarterback.

One year ago, Warner punched his ticket because of the Cardinals' run to the Super Bowl.

Brett Favre is an 11-time Pro Bowler. He's thrown the most TDs in history. He has the most passing yards in history. He hasn't missed a start in 17 years. Bringing Brett Favre into the conversation makes Warner look bad, not good.

Its been fairly well documented that Pro Bowl is more of a popularity contest.

Anybody who uses pro bowls as an argument should have there opinion immediately dismissed. The pro Bowl's a joke. There are some legitamate arguments to be made, this isn't one of them.

I hate Brett Favre, but he holds almost every passing record out there and hasn't missed a start since I was a freshman in college.

Warner had a great career, but he's not a Hall-of-Famer by a long stretch.

Find me a Super Bowl era quarterback who is in Canton or one of the guys we consider locks to make it (Brady, Manning, Favre) who Warner compares favorably to. Just one.

And not missing a start for 17 years is more a commentary on the cowardice of his coaches and Favre's own egomaniac insistence on playing every single down no matter if he's hurt badly enough to be essentially useless (see also Cal Ripken on many occasions late in his streak).

To make the Pro Bowl, you have to be one of the best three quarterbacks in your conference in a season. Yes, sometimes all three that are selected decide not to play and you wind up with a Vince Young making the team like this year, but it shouldn't be completely dismissed.

The Pro Bowl is a popularity contest. Any given year, a guy might get edged out by someone a little less deserving.

That said, when you make it 11 times (more than anyone who ever played your position), there is a pretty good chance you are a no-brainer Hall of Famer. Certainly not a guy who should naturally be being compared to Kurt Warner.

Was Namath a backup for a large portion of his career? I agree he's probably the worst Super Bowl era QB in Canton... Let's compare Warner the QBs since 1980...

Brett Favre did not suck for six years (more than half of Warner's career) in between his good years.
