I come bearing good news, though it took a while to get it.

I sent a text to freelance's phone, and got a reply of 'Hi, who is this?' I figured fine, maybe he just didn't have it saved. So I explained sj was worried, etc. He writes back "I think you have the wrong number." So I apologize profusely.

But freelance was logged onto Gmail, so we just chatted. He's fine, just got back from a road trip and is going out of town on a family vacay. So he'll try to get on next week.

Unless he eats an Ultimate Omelette.
