Is Edgerrin James a Hall of Famer? Which current players make it to Canton?

With all of the touchdown records getting obliterated, I'm very curious which current players will get in.

Last week on one of the ESPN shows, they referred to Edgerrin as a HOF lock. He has the stats, but I don't see it since he's done so little since leaving Indy.

I know he's retired, but Priest Holmes has the touchdowns, but I don't see him getting in.

    Larry Johnson? Nope.

    Shaun Alexander?

Hell, LT? I'm beginning to see him as being really similar to Terrell Davis.

    Thoughts?

    Hines Ward

    Casey Hampton

That's really all I can think of.

I have trouble seeing any contemporary RBs getting in if we're going to compare them to players from 2 decades ago. Their careers are a lot shorter now as defensive players have gotten bigger, faster and stronger. They just get so banged up and worn out quickly. And many NFL teams are moving away from a feature back system anyway making it tougher to rack up the same kind of combined yardage/TD stats as in the past.

If LT can't get in based on his body of work thus far, I don't see how any of his contemporaries could.

If Edge gets in, then so should Corey Dillon.

Dillon has more of a case than Edge, and there's absolutely no way Dillon is getting in.
