    My mom's first six children were born in just over eight years, which would pretty damn impressive if not for Ethel Kennedy, who cranked out seven over a period of eight years and two months.

    And then, after a break of not quite four years, Ethel had four more in a span of just under five-and-a-half years. Who knows how many she'd have ended up with if her husband hadn't been forcibly sterilized?
