Iran (not) so far away

CNN is saying that Israel killed some Iranian fighters today, according to papers the IDF found on the newest worm food.

So, is Iran officially in the mix now?

 

They've been for a long, long time.
It's just not been in the open.
They are the little arsonists trying to light fires to see which one will become too big for even Smokey the Bear to put out.

 

This sort of thing has been going on for decades in other wars (Vietnam, Afghanistan, Korea, to name a few). It'll be interesting -- or frightening -- to see if this leads to another war-by-proxy in Iraq or Lebanon, or if the people in charge escalate it to a real war in the home countries. I have a bad feeling it'll be the latter.
