    Man, that's hard to watch, even knowing they were safely released. Seeing them with their hands on their heads is just kind of chilling. You wonder what was going through the US soldiers' minds.

    I think it would have turned out much worse without Kerry's diplomatic efforts the past several years or if there were an administration led by one of the brinkmanship-over-diplomacy right wingers. Good work Obama!

    Really, I agree. This has all the hallmarks of an incident in which both sides were put in a bad position by overly gung ho lower level personnel.

    Well, first, the $150 billion price tag that was tossed around by right wingers trying to derail the nuclear deal is a debunked lie.

    It's more like $55 billion in sanctions relief and the fact that the sanctions relief became came a good reason to turn over the sailors would be another indication that making the deal is helping to stabilize diplomatic relations. This is another success to build upon.
