    "and Harry Belafonte, who strangely laid the problem of America’s crowded prisons at the feet of the former mayor, an utterly bogus claim, while saying Mr. Bloomberg shared responsibility for the nation’s “deeply Dickensian justice system.”

    The guy sitting near Belefonte who signed the tough on crime bill that has sent thousands of young African Americans to prison must have gotten a chuckle out of that.

    NYC incarceration rate is lower than national average, and dropped under Bloomberg.
