You're entitled to whatever description you want to use. I already know my worldview has its flaws. It's not micro, for one thing.

 

New York Times editorial says Desani was used as a prop by NYC's new public advocate, Letitia James:

 

"and Harry Belafonte, who strangely laid the problem of America’s crowded prisons at the feet of the former mayor, an utterly bogus claim, while saying Mr. Bloomberg shared responsibility for the nation’s “deeply Dickensian justice system.”

The guy sitting near Belefonte who signed the tough on crime bill that has sent thousands of young African Americans to prison must have gotten a chuckle out of that.

 

NYC incarceration rate is lower than national average, and dropped under Bloomberg.

 

Not to mention the murder rate

 

The Post thought they should have turned her upside down and shaken her pockets for the money she has stolen from the state over the years. 500 grand, I think.
