Turns out it's a real couple that the creative director is friends with. They were asked to pose for the photo and agreed to it.

That still causes a stir in St. Louis?

    Really?

Posing for a photo? I'm outraged!

This causes a stir in a whole lot of places. My last serious GF was black and we got some looks when we would go out for a night in Vegas.

My bullshit meter is piqued here.

They took a few internet comments and made a story out of it? OK. I'll take the comments from my web site and do a story on why my coach is a fucking idiot (after a loss) or the world's greatest genius (after a win).

Not condoning any of the racist idiocy, mind you, but it seems a stretch to me to imply that some internet comments constitute a "stir".

Oh, trust me, there are still parts of the St. Louis area, and not just the South Side, where a pic like that is Armageddon.

Oh I know that. There are areas in the St. Louis area that time forgot.

I just take issue with some internet comments constituting a "stir". How about some numbers, P-D?

Someday we'll have a black president and that'll show ’em.

Are you ugly? Maybe that's what all the looks were for? :D

Wow that was an asshole thing to say.

I added a smiley face; that absolves me of all responsibility.

He's right you know. Smiley face trumps all.
