Of course, my company's portal can only be used on IE. Of course.

I have a Macbook Air using Mac OS X (10.6.8). How do I get IE on it?

    Quit.

For the love of God, quit.

Some things just aren't worth a paycheck.

Yeah, I'm out a job in nine months...but I need to get this done, beforehand.

    Install Windows? Not a joke.

IE hasn't been supported on a Mac since roughly 2005, and unless your Mac's that old, there's no version of IE that runs on it. Does the portal site not work in Safari?

Try Safari. If that doesn't work ... yeah, just quit.

I don't even have a witty comeback for this.

It may or may not work, but go into the Develop tab on Safari and click on the Explorer 9 selection under User Agent. Let me know if that works with your portal.

SpeedTchr, that is what I did and it works perfectly. Thank you

You're quite welcome. I will warn you it's a bit glitchy. I have to use it on occasion for an international organization's portal and it has worked ok. Beats getting yelled at when something is due on deadline and you can't get it started :)

One of the biggest nuisances I found at that company. Glad you figured out a way to make it work, because I never did.

I have a Mac bought in 2007 running Leopard 10.5.8. IE works fine.

And like others, my company wants its Newsgate application launched from IE at the office. Newsgate has about 1,000 glitches . . . but none of them because of IE.
