Do any newspaper Web sites offer ads based on IP address? By that, I mean the site detects where the user is located and can deliver a location-based ad.

Right now, my chain is trying to implement tagging where stories are matched with ads. It seems as if the stuff that Google did several years ago is what is the "in" thing for newspapers, and Google is moving on to better technology.

Ads can be tied to content. Lassoed or tagged to keywords.
    That's the system we use.
