Internal Polling Suggests Hastert Could Devastate GOP

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Deeper_Background, Oct 6, 2006.

  1. You have given no evidence that Michael Barone has "slid" to the right. Just your opinion.

And instead of refuting anything you disagree with about what has been written by Marone - you instead call him a hack and a second string columnist.

Maybe Barone is just reporting the facts and because they are not flattering to a Democrat butt boy like yourself - you attack the messenger by calling him names.

Thta's what you normally do and that's what seems to be the case here.

  2. Nice retort.
    Go with god.

P.S. -- The timeline just got longer.

    SENATE:

Macaca holding his seat is a joke. 50-49.

Ensign, DeWine, Santorum and Talent all will have a fight. Not to mention Conrad Burns and Frist's open seat in Tennessee. If the Dems win only 1/3 of those, there's your 52-48 majority.

    HOUSE:

This website shows only 40 of 435 seats up for grabs, only 7 of which are held by Dems. I'd like to see how all 435 seats are polling.

  4. I'm fairly sure this is funny.

Bat: Would love to see Macaca get beaten, but there are too many closet (and not so closet)
racists in that state, especially once you get more than Big Bertha-distance away from DC . . .
    Wahoos, for certain.

Well how's about a good old fashioned non-racist ethical (not epithetical) lapse?

RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 8 (AP) — For the past five years, Senator George Allen, Republican of Virginia, has failed to tell Congress about stock options he got for his work as a director of a high-tech company.

Congressional rules require senators to disclose to the Senate all deferred compensation, like stock options. The rules also urge senators to avoid taking any official action that could benefit them financially or appear to do so.

Saw that, POO . . . every little bit helps.

Couldn't play QB worth a lick, either.

  8. Watched the debate on CSPAN tonight. Dumb as a bag of rocks.
However, Webb looked like he'd never been on TV before.

Conrad Burns (R-Montana) got roundly booed last night when he said you needn't worry about the Patriot Act unless you are Al Qaeda or mafia.

  10. I watched that. Between Abramoff, his own idiocies, and that complete loon they have running out there on the Black Helicopter ticket, Burns is toast.

Burns . . . typical totalitarian mountain bullshit.

    Go down, Moses.
