Interesting NYT article on scientist/conman

I thought this was an interesting article. Reminded me of an old thread on here where people talked about reporters whose quotations always fit a little too neatly into the story. Also reminded me of a recent thread about allegations of fraud in academia (although that was about an honest mistake, which was obviously not the case in the NYT story). Good stuff about the religion of science too.
