Interesting situation about the AJC and a Hawks story being played out on the radio this morning. Apparently, the AJC ran a story online yesterday afternoon about GM Billy Knight going to ownership requesting to fire Mike Woodson and got rejected. Here's the page in Yahoo news with the broken link:

    http://news.yahoo.com/localnews/12770510/source/2609284/Atlanta+Journal-Constitution;_ylt=AsFpEGo.kwmgvmpfTKYTDnis0NUE

    Headline:
·Hawks GM failed three times to fire Woodson Thu Feb 28 3:07pm EST
Hawks General Manager Billy Knight wanted to fire head coach Mike Woodson two weeks ago — but the owners refused.

Then the story disappears from the website.

A couple hours later, the story is back with some additional quotes from owner Mike Gearon, the implication being put forth on the radio airwaves that ownership saw the story, didn't like it, and reached out to the AJC.

Then the story is taken down for a 2nd time and now is nowhere out there.

One of the sports talkers contacted Ronnie Ramos and his comment (not on air) was that they needed to do some additional reporting on the story.

Will be interesting to follow this to see how it plays out.

Could be an interesting case study in reporting on the internet.

As a Hawks fan sick of the ownership mess, it's just frustrating.
