    1. The infamous flag picture was taken during the National Anthem; most everyone puts their hands over their hearts during the Pledge of Allegiance, but not during the Anthem (as anyone who has ever been to a ballgame knows).

    2. Barack wears a flag pin in honor of veterans when he speaks to veteran groups; otherwise, he doesn't. Just like anyone else.

    3. For every person turned off by something as moronic as his not putting his hand over his heart or not wearing a flag pin, he attracts someone driven out of the system by such stupidity years ago.

    4. Ditto the racists; Barack more than makes up for every racist not voting for him solely because he's black by attracting new voters (for proof, see the increased voter turnout and all the stories recently about voter registration drives). And besides, 9 out of 10 racists not voting for him because he's black wouldn't vote for a Democratic candidate anyway.

Facts is facts: Barack Obama came out of nowhere to defeat what began as the best-funded, best-organized, and deepest-supported campaign organization in party history. Reports are he'll have $500 Million vs. McCain's $150 million to spend over the next 6 months -- combine that with the economic troubles and the Iraq war and Bush fatigue, and you get an 8 point Barack Obama win.

And America will be much better off as a result.

Can't wait to see the disappointment on your face the day after the election.

A vote around here? It would fail. Around normal people? I win easily.

I don't really see a McCain path to victory. He should be up 20 points by now in the polls. Instead, he's down 4-5.

See, I'm just the opposite. Considering Hillary and Obama have been the dominant story for weeks and have been getting the lion's share of the attention, either of them should have a good lead over McCain right now.

There are a lot of Dems who appear unwilling to vote for whoever wins their nomination. But a lot of them also view McCain as a reasonable alternative.

McCain hasn't received negative press in months. It's SOP for exit polls in a contested primary to indicate that voters wouldn't vote for the other candidate in a general election. It was the same with Bush and McCain in 2000.
