The Indianapolis Star is seeking an accomplished multimedia journalist to cover the NBA’s Indiana Pacers. This person will join a sports staff focused on breaking news and delivering unique, authoritative content in various forms, across various platforms.
To be considered, you should have:
    • A proven ability to break news on a beat: Experience developing contacts and sources, a track record of getting the story first.
    • Strong writing skills: Ability to provide strong analysis, as well as in-depth features and enterprise.
    • Social media success: Proven ability to develop a strong following and engage that audience.
    • Video knowledge: Ability to shoot video and on-camera experience; video editing experience would be a plus.
At least three years covering a major sports beat is required. Previous experience covering an NBA team is preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred.
