Incentivizing schoolwork

    While I always tried to be careful not to reward my kids for carrying out what I considered their basic responsibilities -- schoolwork, cleaning up after themselves, etc. -- providing incentives for going "above and beyond expectations" can work well, too.

    I got a 7 and 8 year old to fold and hang up all their laundry for a pack of football cards each. If that's bribery, count me in. :D
