    1. SEC - Strong track record of winning big games against non-conference opponents. Historically strong from the top to the bottom. Worst SEC team is better than the worst team in any other conference (most years). As the saying goes, you are only as strong as your weakest member.

    2. Big 12 - Top heavy this year. Teams are able to score in a hurry. The bottom may not be so good, but there are many deserving BCS teams from this conference for the second straight year.

    3. Big Ten - Taken their lumps lately, but better in the middle then the rest including the Pac-10. USC would steamroll anyone in the Big 10 every year; but the Iowa's, MSU's Northwestern's and Wisconsin's of this world can rattle off 9 or 10 win seasons and come up big every once in a while.

Examples: Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Minnesota were all ranked in 2007 and or 2008.

I came close to voting for the MAC, since they're the bastion of tolerance in the college football coaching ranks and all, but I went with the Mountain West instead :D

(Hey, it let me vote for three!)

The Patrick Division had great potential, but the Adams Division held it back.
