    You see this a lot with college students/recent college grads. Perhaps it's a symptom of the increasing dependence on emailing/texting for communication. Do they even teach you how to write a business letter in school anymore?

    We never lerned how to right a bizness lettr in college.

    I always thought it was self-explanatory on how to write one. I guess some recent grads still need that refresher course. I actually learned how to write one in high school.

    Never learned how to write formally before screwing up at least 50 cover letters after college. Some editors were good enough to e-mail me some comments, and I appreciated it. Still, I never sent anything out like that.

    Hell, surely the kid has SOMEONE (a neighbor, relative, instructor) who can proofread for him? And there's no excuse for spelling when you have access to a spell-checker.
