I work at a decent paper. This just hit my personal inbox.
So, it took some effort on the front end. "As is" except for X's and [].
    Oh, Jesus...help me/us.

    Dear Mr. Xxxxxxx (Xxxxx Sports),

My name is Xxxx and Iam a recent graduate of [Unconscious State]. I wrote covered sports at the [USU] newspaper for a year. I was curious about the posibilities within the sports department at the Xxxxxx Xxxxxx if looking break in. Any other and all advice that could be given would also be great. Thanks for your time.

    Xxxxx Xxxxxxx

    Shit.

Like the enthusiasm, but you aren't impressing anyone with such horrid spelling and sentence structure.

You're missing an E-mail. It should be two in the Inbox, one in the Outbox.

Seriously. Point them out. You'd be doing him a big favor. He needs to know that he has to be be extra careful and proofread those letters.
