Why don't you call them and ask?

    Humor us, thanks.

Do you have a contact there for me? This isn't my strong suit. Should I ask for media relations, and say I'm calling from SportsJournalists.com?

Seriously, doesn't anyone here have access to LexisNexis? Can't this stuff be searched?

I got this from Google: No results found for interview "arranged by Democratic strategists" site:nytimes.com.

I even tried it with "Democrat strategists: Your search - interview "arranged by Democrat strategists" site:nytimes.com - did not match any documents.

I'm thinking they've never said such a thing. Prove me wrong. Anyone.

OK. While I'm on that, can you install an espresso machine for me tomorrow?

Sure, no problem. You'll be working the message boards again anyway.

Maybe it's because most of what the Republican party says has to be taken with a grain of salt.

    I think that's fair. I like this, if it's a policy.

Is it? Why have they never reported something similar with Democratic strategists. You can't honestly say they don't need to be taken with a grain of salt as well.

I just did a Google search for interview "arranged by Republican strategists" site:nytimes.com

One result, and it's the article you linked.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they thought it was interesting in this case and not noteworthy in any other case.

It seems YF's beef is with the word "strategists." It surely can't be with assigning political philosophies to certain actions.

What, specifically, is your issue with the use of "strategists?"

Why? It's like some dog whistle to their liberal readers that they don't have to believe what they're about to read.

Do they doubt what they were told by the people who served with him? It's not any different than what they've heard from Pentagon officials.

So, why in this one instance run that disclaimer?
