Some of those clips show him doing stuff for The Simpsons and 24. So he's done some Fox stuff.

Do you think God let LaFontaine announce his own arrival?

RIP. That Geico commercial, as noted earlier, was brilliant and put a face to one of the best voices in the biz. So did a NY Lottery commercial w/Ed McMahon and Johnnie Gilbert. Can't seem to find on YouTube the version where LaFontaine speaks.

I guess God needed a voice-over guy for the remake of "Heaven's Gate."

(I was waiting for someone else.)

    Sirs, Madames,

Where is God in this world? Don LaFontaine passes yet Gilbert Gottfried draws a breath.

    YD&OHS, etc

I actually saw a movie trailer (on TV) tonight with his voice. I was so enamored with actually hearing him that I didn't even pay attention to what movie he was talking about.

I've heard him in a half-dozen commercials today. He's so everywhere, we'll be hearing him for months probably. That's the poignant part.

His voice will live on, that's for sure.
And thank god, he's one of the people who will truly keep going via the Web.
