Oscar nomination and all, he's talented enough to get ALL these chances?

Watch Charlie Bartlett, too. He was outstanding. Only one little thing I would've tweaked to make one scene a 10 instead of a 9.5.

BYH, have you seen Iron Man?

    He owns that movie.

Listening to Opie and Anthony this morning, Patrice O'Neal said it was amazingly hilarious.

Um, I don't normally correct people but Zach and Miri Make A Porno comes out at the end of October.

    That's not summer.

But I agree with you that that movie will kick the crap out of any comedy of 2008. Hands down.

Name me another film that got an NCAA-17 rating on the first cut, chopped out 15 minutes and was still deemed too offensive to those under 17?

Luckily, K. Smith appealed it and got it taken down to an R, but I am so stoked for this movie, it's not even funny. From what I've heard from test screenings and whatnot, it's his best flick since Clerks.

I'm going to go see Pineapple Express as soon as I get out of work.

Superhero/action/special effects-laden movies = boring as shit. to me, at least.

And scheizainc, thanks for the correction. I really thought Zack and Miri was coming out in late August.

Onion's AV Club gave Pineapple Express an A-.
Those guys hate everything and they loved this movie.

My plan is to see it tomorrow on my day off.

Only promise this flick holds for me is Downey as a black guy and all the text around that. Rest of movie sounds stupid. And, oh, just saw Pineapple -- it sucks.

COUPLE SPOILERS.... do not read downward if that stuff bothers you.

    My answer, unequivocally, is yes.

    Cruise.... utterly fucking brilliant...
    Downey.... love the bastard
Stiller.... some people hate him, I think he knows how to bring the funny better than almost anyone
Black.... sucks in almost everything.... in perfect pitch here
Jackson.... his moments with Downey are priceless
McBride.... his enthusiasm, like in Pineapple, keeps you from taking your eyes off him
Nolte.... you know they peeled him off the carpet at the airport in Hawaii to do this role, but, again, an inspired choice
McConaughey ... I guess I could have seen Owen Wilson being an improvement here, but he was fine.
Baruchel... Jeff Goldblum's bastard son has a couple moments

I have to go again, just to process some of the funny shit Downey said. His Australian accent is beyond impeccable.

    Great cameo by Spiderman.
