Just make sure you don't have to drive long distances the next day. That was probably my worst decision. Nothing worse than being crazily hung over and having to pay attention to the road for multiple hours.

Now, pallister is just plain nuts for his drive.

Baltimore is a great place to go if you stay in the Inner Harbor area. Drinks are a bit much but there are some good liquor stores around to offset some prices, if you like 40s that is.

Bmore is a two hour drive from where I used to live and I've made what seems like hundreds of hung over trips back home the next day. You're right. They suck.

From what he told me, I cannot imagine the drive home was as dangerous as the sleep-deprived drive there.

If I'm still living in or near the same place I do now, I can drive to B'more. Or take Scamtrak or the MARC train.

No cross-country flights or 9/11 security fees for forever_town!

Damn, it's tough for me to get off in June. Why not July?

And Rumple, price of drinks depends on what you mean by a bit much.

A beer shouldn't cost more than $5 and a mixed drink shouldn't be more than $7. I went to a few places in Baltimore where I saw beers for $8 (regular size) and mixed drinks for about $12.

    Sounds about average to me

And that's all I meant...depends on where you live and what you're used to

Beers for $8 and mixed drinks for $12? I guess I have been pampered by not paying more than $5, unless I went to a high-end pub. In NYC the drinks were expensive, but I bought enough to offset the cost with the free ones she gave me.

Boog's BBQ is good, but a little overrated in my opinion. I'm looking forward to discovering the hidden gems for crab cakes. My crab cake experience in Bmore starts and ends at Phillips. And they ain't bad.
