    And since they have estimated historical populations and death rates, I think they can answer the 'how many people died' question.

    Why do people kill time?

    As in, I'm killing time posting on SportsJournalists.com right now instead of going to any of my classes.

    What did time ever do to anybody?

    If so, I'd like to know. Call it a historical curiosity. I've just been reading about the Spanish expedition of Narvaez through Florida, Texas and Mexico, and de Vaca talks frequently about the deaths among really small tribes in Texas. It prompted me to wonder about the number of deaths throughout history.

    Why do we have two hands, ears, eyes, feet but not two of everything else? Wouldn't it make more sense to have spare parts?
