Question: Is it our job to get into a one-minute back-and-forth with a coach during a press conference about whether it's necessary to disclose if a player is playing in a preseason game?

Here's the press conference in question (starting at 4:10): Zimmer: I'm Always Going To Protect The Players

Is your job to just get cliches?

I think of a few reasons:

    1. Game 3 is a true dress rehearsal.

    2. If he doesn't play it could be meaningful for something later on.

    3. Fans who paid good money to attend the first preseason game in the new stadium probably want to the see the best product possible.

No. 3 is the only thing that really applies to this specific situation. The line of questioning was around Adrian Peterson, who hasn't had a preseason carry since 2011.

MNgremlin made my day. Always good to reset the conventional limits for "not getting the job."
