I'm proud of my useless knowledge...

I know pretty much all the lines in the movie "Animal House." I'm more of a generalist in my useless knowledge. If I had a nickel for every time someone said to me "How do you know that?" I'd be rich woman. (Variations of that line are used on "Seinfeld" (Susan's mother) and in "Fletch" (Gail Stanwyk).

I'm also up on all the stuff that Grohl defines as useless.

I don't know all the state capitals and I am embarrassed by that lack of knowledge.

I used to be able to recite all the presidents in order.

I also worked with a guy who could tell you the mascot for pretty much any college, no matter how obscure. This was actually pretty useful.

I've got your 1987 MLB season right here.

Is it bad that I can tell you he hit .401 two years before that and .403 the year after that, the only man other than Cobb (in the modern era) to hit over .400 three times?

Not saying those things aren't important now, although in the course of my daily work and life, knowing that Green Bay is the capital of Wisconsin isn't particularly relevant.

And yes, I know Madison is the capital, and not Green Bay. Just seeing if anyone is paying attention.

For me, it's Greek mythology, the original Star Trek, MTM, and an awful lot of 1970's song lyrics.

It can easily be said that all my "knowledge" is useless. I'm not sure if I should be proud of that.

I can't define it, but I know what porn is when I see it.

    Correct.

Committing much of the dialogue from the David Chase-written Rockford Files episodes to memory. Useless, but fun.
