    I'd rather cover high school soccer than high school football on most Fridays.

    as are many in Oklahoma, though they don't deserve to be by what I watched last season

    Where is Hoover? It's in Alabama right? That's why I put 'Bama.

    I've read Louisiana traditionally produces more D-I recruits per capita than any other state.

    I know a little about Texas high school football. I also know there are teams in Louisiana (West Monroe/John Curtis/old-school Evangel, etc.), Mississippi (South Panola), and Alabama (Hoover) that can play with the best Texas schools.

    I don't know where this "only loves Texas football" thing comes from, especially when the college team I was born into pulling for isn't even in Texas (except for my insignificant Sun Belt alma mater).

    But yes, Texas high school football, top to bottom, is the best.
