If he thinks about Shawn Kemp during the interview, he might come away wanting to bang the boss' daughter.

No word yet from that job interview. I'm getting nervous. I'm supposed to hear by the end of Friday...

On a side note, I had an interesting email exchange that reminds us all to make sure you're careful about hitting 'reply' and double-checking the address in the 'to' line of an email. I got an email randomly just now that was in reply to my email application for a job. It was my cover letter and resume, and the reply said "Set up an interview with this dude." Nothing more, nothing less. So I replied to that message with "I'd be glad to, but what 'dude' are you talking about?" A few minutes later I got a response of "Well, as you can probably tell, that was meant to be an internal email. Congrats, though, because we want to interview you for the position. Can you see why we need a new communications specialist? Haha. Kelli will be in touch."

Anyway, I was laughing pretty hard at that and wanted to share.

That's an awesome email exchange... and a great recovery by the person you were dealing with. Hope one of the two work out :)

Good luck Rusty, and if they offer you a job, you should insist upon being called "Dude" for the entire time you're in the office.

And get a rug that really pulls the room together.

I was going to add make sure you send a thank you note to the interviewer thanking them for their time. At my last interview, the managers said only 20 percent of applicants sent even an email thank you

Rusty, I was on the hiring side of the desk in a prior life. Hearing from me early meant you'd been eliminated from consideration. Don't worry that you haven't heard yet. Good luck.
