Pro-lifers are not pro-life, for the overwhelming majority. Most people who are pro-life are anti-abotion and beyond being anti-abortion are meddlers in the life choices and privacy of others. pro-life is a deceitful term puposefully used to avoid responsibility and hide the motivations of the adherents of that philosophy. If one was truely pro-life, one would be in favor of all measures needed to sustain life beyond conception. Medical care, nutrition, education, shelter, birth control and sex education.
If pro-lifers cared about the fetus then they would care about the infants, toddlers, children, pre and post adolescents by demnading all children in this country have unlimited access to medical care, for both prevention and treatment, regardless of their ability to pay. THEY DON'T. And beyond the childhood years. Those children without adequate medical care grow up to be adults without adequate medical care based more upon the circumstances of their birth than any other factor.
Universal health care, universal education and universal nutrition contribute as much to being pro-life as abandoning abortion.

Selectively adhering to some religious precept that abortion is a sin without adhering to all religious precpts is the evil infliction of your misguided sense of superiority upon others without your beleifs.

 

Let's see how many gun nuts fanatics of the 2nd amendment would go for it.

 

You can change your mind about owning a gun at any time and your decision won't affect your life permanently, unless you choose to shoot someone else. A pregnant woman has a limited time to make decision that could affect the rest of her life.

The vast majority of "pro-life" people I know and interact with go above and beyond to help out the less-fortunate members of society. From adoption to mentoring to consistent financial help, they put actions behind their words.
