    I don't know where you live. I assumed you don't. If I'm wrong, it wouldn't be my first mistake.
    I know the writer wasn't trying to be cute. Do you not think there is a better way it could be written, though?

    Of course it could be better. It's a cliche.

    But, I don't think anything is even remotely insensitive about it.
