    Yeah, I'd be too busy listening to my desert-island CDs and watching my desert-island DVDs. After I find my desert-island electrical outlet, of course.

    I'd probably bring LOTR (collected, as my copy is), something on Tudor England, who knows what else.

    First book, ESPN sports encyclopedia, hollowed out. Inside, waterproof matches, iodine tablets, beet seeds, protein bars, NASA blanket, and … in case I get bored, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. No, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
