    Seriously, I give up. Bin Laden won in a rout. Fear rules, freedom drools. Doesn't matter who's in office when the American public is willing to concede its founding principles for the appearance of safety.

    yep, it all started in Jan.2009. Before then, nothing but scrupulous attention to preserving civil liberties.
