It's hard to avoid "Blurred Lines," Starman ... at least the radio-friendly version.

My main thought wasn't so much about the lyrics as it was, "somebody got stoned, pulled out his dad's 1970s vinyl collection and recorded this song."

She could pick peanuts out of the bottom of a Coke bottle with that tongue.

Why would peanuts be at the bottom of a Coke bottle?

You ain't never lived in the south, boy.

My dad used to ALWAYS buy a Pepsi (we're a Pepsi family) and a sleeve of those peanuts if we were like on a road trip. He'd dump them in and it would gross me out every time. But he loved it.

And neglected to credit the song's author.

You realize there's nothing in that story that says anything about authorship, right?

It's fitting Starman created this thread.

Someone should sue Thicke for being just awful in so many ways.

Indeed, The Daily News also neglected to credit the song's author.
(Marvin Gaye wrote and recorded "Got to Give It Up" in 1976.)

For some reason, I blanked. I do remember one of my HS buddies stopping every now and then for a Dr. Pepper and throwing peanuts in it. Very strange.
