    How about this?

I was against editing it, but if nothing receives a vote after a day or two, I will drop and reform the poll with events that received a vote or more than one vote. In essence, I will nuke it and recreate it without the fat.

That should eliminate about 50 percent of the possibilities.

Well, I think we have a near unbreakable record (along the lines of Cy Young's 511 wins) for longest poll.

I was looser enough to vote for ten, but there are clearly three events I would have liked to have attended that stand head and shoulders above the rest:

    Secretariat's Belmont

    USA/USSR Lake Placid

    Nicklaus Masters '86

Hockey stuff, golf and Nolan Ryan's seventh no-no. Actually, how about covering the Ryan-Ventura game?

I realized upon looking at the results I didn't catch Lake Placid. Not to fear - it'll win.
BTW, where was Carlton Fisk? I was in the house for that one.

Dunno. I've heard of Ayrton Senna, though.

Yeah. I thought maybe that was his cousin who also had an unfortunate accident that took his life.

    Odd.

I see no option to change a vote. Mine shows my votes in bold with the total number of votes for each. Doesn't have a button to vote again.
