If you get laid off or bought out what will you do?

Even if you dont get laid off or bought out ...

It's not unreasonable to conclude that we have now pretty much maxed out our earning potential in this business.

Papers are ...
... forcing folks out by any means possible.
... slashing raises.
... reducing salaries.

Meanwhile, gas prices are increasing weekly, as is the cost of living. I guess it's possible this trend might reverse five or 10 years down the road, but I have my doubts.
