If you could live in a sci-fi/fantasy "movie world"

If you were to live in a movie world, which one would you pick?

Obviously we all live in the real world... so there's no point in picking normal movies that take place in our actual world.

I'm talking about movies like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Riddick, Matrix, Star Trek, Minority Report, iRobot etc.

The Shire would be pretty sweet.

You have no idea of the shit going on around you. All you have to deal with is a little PTSD from the Baggins dude down the lane.

Agreed and I think choosing that world is an easy decision. Part of the appeal of most Star Trek movies and shows is they take a more optimistic view of the future than most other science fiction.

It's easily the world of Next Generation for me. More of the Galaxy has been explored, better tech, less Kirk.

But who among us hasn't looked up to the stars and thought what it would be like to visit them? There are days when leaving this rock feels more and more appealing. I just hate that we're limited by there speed of light and the absolute mind boggling vastness of space. Star Trek offers that hope of a peaceful future, the chance to see space, meet interesting aliens. And make it back to enjoy the holidays.

I have loved Jim Kirk most of my life. And the TOS movies are better than TNG movies. But, Jean-Luc. So. Here we are.

I would have bought it in Carousel twice by now. RENEW! RENEW!

Plus the whole gem in the palm of your hand would be a pain in the ass.

"2001" would have been a very cool alternative universe, particularly knowing what actually happens in 2001 and beyond.

After the way 2020 has unfolded, The Matrix's computer world is looking pretty appealing.

I'd hate to be a Black person in that world. Unless I voiced Box.
