If you could attend one fake sports event...

...which one would it be? Read this question in Bill Simmons' mailbag column today (yeah, I know he's not liked) and it just seemed like a fun question to throw out there.
So what would it be? Something from the movies, books, whatever?
I would think one of Rocky Balboa's bigger fights, although the Super Bowl in "Black Sunday" would be a hell of an experience.
And in a nod to Simmons, he mentioned the basketball game in "Teen Wolf" where the guy first turns into a werewolf. If you were working for the Podunk Press and covering that game, how in the hell would you handle it?

 

I'd like to break the story about Shoeless Joe playing baseball in Iowa.


But I guess Terrence Mann beat me to it, though.

 

I'd like to see Bobby Flay, actually thrown down.

 

Gotta be Creed-Balboa I or the championship game in Hoosiers.

 

Remember that one time when Bobby Boucher showed up at halftime and the Mud Dogs won the Bourbon Bowl? That's what I would do.

It would equivalent of the South Florida going in and beating Bobby Bowden and FSU in the Orange Bowl We're talking like the 1998 season.

Or the Ducks winning the city championship on Charlie Conway's triple deke.

 

The Indians winning the World Series.
