...even if he wasn't wearing heals.

Eddie Izzard runs 43 marathons in 7 weeks...there must be something more to this story:

Impressive effort by Izzard to raise money and awareness for a charity.

    I'm calling shenanigans on this.

23 miles per day; EVERY DAY; For 7 weeks.

like tv said; if it's true, this is one of the most incredible feats of human endurance ever.

Not every day. And we don't know how long it took him to run/walk the 26.2 miles on the 43 days he did run. He might have taken 10-12 hours per day.

Plus, he had a BBC film crew tagging along documenting it.

Terry Fox a great Canadian hero disagrees. He averaged just under a marathon a day for 143 days. He did this on one leg while battling cancer.

ESPN has a movie coming out on him that is being directed by Steve Nash.

Here is a Little background on Fox.

I think Eddie must've been chased by bees the entire way. ;D

I love Eddie Izzard. One of the funniest people walking on this earth right now. I'm following him on twitter and he's been tweeting about this throughout. A great feat for a great cause.

The first film made for HBO - the first made for any cable network - was The Terry Fox Story. It's premier airing was in 1983. It was a staple of the HBO lineup for a couple of years. I haven't seen it in well over 20 years. I do recall that it was a well done little flick.

I've been following Izzard on my Twitter page as well though I haven't been having his tweets sent to my cell.

Jerry Lindgren used to do 88 mile mountain runs on weekends. This is totally possible.

    Yea, right.

This guy, though, he did it and it was real:
