It's a bad idea to go running in the wilds of Alberta.

Illegal aliens on lam in wild country
    Kerry Williamson, Calgary Herald
    Published: Thursday, July 26, 2007

Two men who illegally sneaked into Canada from the United States may have stumbled into the path of a large wildfire, or wild animals fleeing the flames, and searchers are concerned the men may succumb to the extreme temperatures in southern Alberta.

Although Mounties caught three Hispanic men attempting to cross the border near the Chief Mountain border crossing, a massive search was underway Wednesday for two others who evaded capture.

Searchers hope to reach them before bears, cougars or a wildfire catch up to them, or they begin suffering from dehydration.

RCMP spokesman Al Fraser said concern is mounting for the two men still on the loose.

"You've got a fire that's pushing all the wildlife towards this area. You're looking at all kinds of things -- bears, cougars, mountain lions -- that's all trying to get through there," said Fraser.

I think this guy is also the director of the RCMP Department of Redundancy Department.
Cougars and mountain lions are one in the same. :D

That's why the state of Michigan has so many prisons in the U.P. They figure if the guards don't catch escapees, the bears, black flies or mind-numbing coldness will.

  7. Death by black fly is a horrible way to go.
But Bob, your list is short. It should read, bears, black flies, mind-numbing coldness, and drunken Youppers on their second week in deer camp.

Meh ... they're bear bait anyway. The bears are out and they're hungry.
