Well, if you're going to take the MNF crew seriously....

    The McNabb numbers:

he is 9-12 (.428) since losing Super Bowl XXXIX; while the Eagles are 8-7 (.533) in games he didn't play in since that Super Bowl.
He is also 1-6 in his last seven starts, only one of the six losses (last year to New Orleans) was against a playoff team.

Dude, McNabb has been winning his whole career. I believe since McNabb entered the league, he's been the second most winningest qb in the NFL.

Go and check his individual statistics and you'll see that those losses weren't his fault. Again, he's played with nothing his whole career, and for some odd reason, Andy Reid keeps making him pass 40+ times a game instead of handing the ball to Bryan Westbrook more often. When McNabb was injured and they did that, the offense ran much smoother because it took pressure of Garcia and his receivers. And you can't honestly sit there and tell me that Garcia is a better qb than McNabb.

He probably would have gone Owen Wilson if he got the same level of criticism Rex Grossman gets...

We're talking about now, not 2-3 years ago. Palmer has passed him. Others to follow shortly if he can't stay healthy.

Of course, I'm not surprised by yab over here because to him blacks shouldn't be leading at anything.

You guys making it out as if he's never been criticised. The dude was booed when he got drafted! It's crazy to think that Eli has been more criticised than McNabb.

And even if the Eli Manning critisism was at the same level as McNabb's, at least McNabb has actually proven himself.

P.S. Eli gets criticism because he asked to be traded from the Chargers.

By doing what? Leading the team choke in the big games?

For the last time, the fans did not boo McNabb the person. They booed the pick that the Eagles made at the #2 spot. They wanted Ricky Williams. It just so happened that McNabb's name was called, and suddenly it's like the fans are booing him. Jesus himself could have been called to the podium and Eagles fans would have the same amount of vitriol in their system. Fans boo the front office more for their stupid mistakes more than they do the players.

4 NFC championships with no help on offense
1 Super Bowl(the only year he actually had a WR that had more talent than a number 2)
And a lot of great stats to add to his resume

It seems like we have all forgotten about the 4th 26 play he made in the playoffs. And that "drive" against the Patriots in the SB was not entirely his fault because Reid wasn't trying to hurry up the offense in the first place.

I'm an Eagles fan, but the 4th and 26 play was more a defensive lapse on the Packers' part than the Eagles' play call. The Packers dropped into prevent defense and Freddie Mitchell found a soft spot in the zone. McNabb threw an okay ball, but he didn't make or break the play. If you want to actually make some sense when bringing McNabb to light about a play, why not that one against the Cowboys where he ran all around the field and hit Mitchell in stride?

Or playing the second half vs. Arizona on one leg.

4 NFC Championships is an accomplishment, but going 1-3 is the proper evaluation. You Play To Win The Game.

To answer the question of whether or not McNabb is overrated, you first have to definerated. He has never been a HOF caliber QB. Donovan McNabb is not in the all-time top 50 in any major category.
If anyone thinks McNabb is in the top 3 QBs in the NFL, at any point in his career, you are overrating him. Was there a point in his career when he was the 5th-7th best QB? possibly.
He's 7-5 in the post season.

Seasons among the league's top 10
    Code:
     Pass attempts:	2000-4, 2007-5
    Completions:	2000-4, 2004-9
    Passing yards:	2004-8
    Passing TDs:	2000-7t, 2001-7, 2004-3
    Adjusted yards per pass:	2003-10, 2004-3, 2006-1
Is he overrated? It depends on where you start.

He's been between Good and Very Good.
