If McNabb is overrated, how about ...

Fair point. Eagles fans have been booing McNabb since the minute he was drafted. Why stop now?

There's a reason that the Giants are 0-2. And it ain't Eli Manning. It's a defense that cannot get pressure on quarterbacks, stop the run, cover receivers or tackle.

    Well, that's a team-wide problem.

I actually got to watch the Giants-GB game and was shocked how bad their D looked. That was probably the easiest day Favre's had in a long time. The hardest part was figuring out which open receiver to throw to!

Watching the Eagles game last night, McNabb's receivers really did a poor job of getting open downfield. Sure, he missed a few throws (like that one to Curtis who was wide-open at the goal line), but for the most part he didn't have anywhere to go with the football. And Grossman gets ripped apart more than any quarterback out there (deservedly so) and one point I heard today that is absolutely true: you put any other QB in Philly, and they will be treated the same way McNabb has. You win, you're loved. You struggle, you're torn to shreds by the fans and media. Donovan needs to tune it all out and just play football.

McNabb would have hurled himself off the George Washington Bridge if he received half of the level of criticism that Eli Manning gets.

Hey, he could have been in San Diego.

I don't feel a whiff of pity for the guy.

    Rivers?
He was annointed as the next Fran Tarkenton in what amounted to his first big start, against Pittsburgh on Monday Night last year.
He was sharing the field with Roethlisberger, who'd only just won the Super Bowl, and the crew was acting as if Rivers had reinvented the game.

And Eli Manning wouldn't get the criticism if he accomplished half of what McNabb has and didn't cost the team future draft choices in the process.

McNabb is doing a lot better than Tim Couch, Akili Smith , Dante Culpeper, Cade McNown, Shaun King and Aaron Brooks.

They were selected in the same draft as McNabb.

That's no joke. That's one guy who better never complain about the pressures of playing in New York.
