I'd buy Canada, but not Quebec.

My serious response, and one that I've thought of many times trying to build up good pre-karma to pull Powerball tickets through (and I was thinking the big $100M-$200M jackpots):

    1) Buy my folks a new house or fix up their old one super nice.
    2) Endow 20-50 scholarships at good ol' State U. (Although that number's probably gone down quite a bit with the rapidly rising cost of college and winning "only" $50M.)
    3) Adopt a kindergarten class in my old hometown and tell them if they graduate high school, I pay for their college.
    4) Donate a sizeable chunk to an affordable housing group here to rebuild, Habitat or something like that.
    5) Put aside a couple million and live off the interest.

Ninety percent of it would be spent on fast cars, loose women and Irish whiskey. The other 10 percent I'd probably waste. [/tugmcgraw]

I think that was orginally a George Best line: "I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars - the rest I just squandered."

    Thought I had.

    Oh well. Live and learn.

And boys is a term I use. Don't actually think they're boys. But 'bastards' doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

Half to my wife; she takes care of her family out of her share, I take care of mine out of mine, just like Christmas.

    Two or three months off.

Slightly (one or two rooms) larger home within 15 miles of the one we have now.

Start a monthly magazine, four-day work week for everyone, including me.

    A few charities.

New car, probably a Grand Prix with a V-8 engine.

Gifts of $10G to assorted friends.

Some son of a bitch would die.

    Buy myself a short-season minor-league baseball team.
