    Premium content for the Braves failed? As a former ATL resident, I'm shocked. Shocked!

    Would be curious to see ESPNInsider's numbers. I frequently want to read their gambling content but it's behind the wall. Which is probably smart.

    I've said for years that papers should charge for comments. If some racist moron wants to go on an extended screed and argue with everyone in sight, charge them a nickel per post. The comments sections are like drugs to some people, so charge them for their fix.

    A message board I'm familiar with does exactly that.

    You can read the posts all day long, but to comment on any of the threads or stories, you have to be a registered member and to be a registered member, means you have to pay.

    It isn't much, maybe a dollar or two a month, but it generates quite the pile of cash.

    Or at least that's what the owner claimed. I never saw the books.
