I'd Pay to See The "22's"

    FOX started framing for 16:9 screens this season. Before, FOX would frame everything in a 4:3 safe zone. You could tell what game they would do it in by looking where the scoreboard bug was placed.

    If it was right up against the edge, it was widescreen-framed, but some games had the scoreboard bug still in the 4:3 safe zone. My local FOX affiliate was horrible as it would just squeeze a widescreen feed into a 4:3 box instead of letterboxing the feed.

    Interesting - I wondered why I could only see half scoreboard on my TV
